Ali Curry House

Ali Curry House is recommended by a hotel manager to us. According to him, Portuguese curry is very famous in Macau and since we are here we should give it a try.

All we were told is the restaurant name is Curry House and it is located at 大馬路 (Dai Ma Road). We rented a MPV to take us here. Even the driver himself is not sure about this restaurant. He was calling his company asking for directions.

And finally we are here.

It is already 8ish when we arrived. The restaurant is already full inside hence we choose seated outside.

Chef recommendations can be fund at the menu.

It was rather cool evening and the waitress put this heather fan near us to keep us comfortable.

There are two type of local beer Macau Beer and Super Bock and we ordered one each to try out. Although both beer taste differently, the beer however are extremely smooth and light. Way very different from Carlsberg and Heineken.

Smoked duck - the meat itself is soft and not oily at all. Goes very well with the vegetables and olive.

Charcoal grilled cuttlefish - thumbs up!! Way different from what we had in Malaysia. I thought it would be hard like what we used to have in KL, but I was wrong. the meat is tender and easy to munch. Even eating without any source it is still very tasty.

Pork neck meat - meat slice extremely thin and super tender. Much better than Awet.

Grill fish with steam vegetable. If you want something simple this will do the trick.

Lamb curry - tender meat and curry tasted very different from what we had in KL

Signature dish of the evening curry crab. The curry not as spicy as our local curry but it goes very well with the crab.. Highly recommended :):)

As the restaurant is just nearby the Macau Tower, we get to enjoyed tower night view from out seat.

We came without reservation so we waited for about 20 mins before we get our seat. So reservation is highly recommended.
